On the evening of December 31, 2024, Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island will light up with countless lights of Buddha’s light. Dr. Zou Lunlun, along with Chinese and Western music groups (including pipa player Zhang Ying, erhu player Zhou Yi, pianist Helen Chong , flutist Chin Wing King, violinist Chloe Chan , cellist Pasu Ho , and young pipa performer Zandra Sun ), performed alongside TVB singers to sing “Farewell” as we step into the new year. May auspiciousness, wealth, peace, health, and joy forever reside in the hearts of our friends as we welcome the wonderful year of 2025!

Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Conductor: Lio Kuokman, JP Principal Violin :Jing Wang “Fishermen’s Joyous Return” Special Presentation by Dr. Lunlun Zou & the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Guzheng Virtuoso Dr. Lunlun Zou  Fellow of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Artist-in-Residence.    “Fishermen’s Joyous Return” An Ancient Tune, Cao Zheng & Zhu Yuzhi 1952 Version, Arranged By Li Wenping .    “Fishermen’s Joyous Return” is derived from a line in Wang Bo’s “Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng” from the Tang Dynasty: “Fishermen’s Joyous return, its echoes reach the shores of Pengli.” It is one of China’s top ten famous musical pieces, depicting the moving scene of fishermen returning home while singing under the glow of the evening clouds. The piece begins with a graceful and elegant melody and a gentle rhythm, illustrating a picture of the setting sun reflecting on vast, azure waves. It then progresses layer by layer based on the musical theme, reaching a climax. The music is lyrical and elegant, leading the audience into a scene from ancient times, allowing them to experience the serene and natural lifestyle of the ancients.

「漁舟唱晚」鄒倫倫院士與香港管弦樂團特別呈現 《 漁舟唱晚 》古曲  曹正、朱郁之1952版本  李文平編曲 香港管弦樂團 指挥：廖國敏 首席小提琴: 王敬 著名古箏演奏家 鄒倫倫博士 香港理工大學院士-駐校藝術家  《漁舟唱晚》取自唐代詩人王勃《滕王閣序》中：「漁舟唱晚，響窮彭蠡之濱」的詩句。是中國十大名曲之一，樂曲描繪了晚霞輝映下漁人載歌而歸的動人畫面。樂曲開始，以優美典雅的曲調、舒緩的節奏，描繪出一幅夕陽映照萬公頃碧波的畫面。接著，以音樂的主題為基準逐層遞進，達到高潮。音樂抒情優雅， 引領觀眾進入遠古的畫面中， 體會古人清靜自然的生活態度。
