IAMA Supports Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Disaster Relief — Latest Update

The Board of Directors of the Hong Kong International Academy for Music Arts has decided to launch a caring initiative titled “Music Healing and Counseling Program” for students affected by the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire. The program will primarily accept students residing in the affected housing estate and provide them with free “Music Therapy and Emotional Recovery Lessons.” The sessions will be guided by our professional instructors specializing in compassionate music healing, helping young people overcome trauma and regain confidence in their future.


Support Scope: Schools in and around Tai Po Wang Fuk Court affected by the incident.


Teachers from related schools are welcome to recommend students to join the counseling sessions.


In addition, the Academy has resolved to donate several musical instruments for affected students in need, including: Guzheng × 2, Erhu × 1, Pipa × 1, Violin × 1, Guitar × 1, Piano × 1.

London’s “Chinese Night” Ciro Restaurant shines

On the evening of July 2, London’s Ciro restaurant was immersed in an artistic atmosphere that combined Chinese and Western elements. That night, Hong Kong Guzheng master Zou Lunlun and famous British soprano Wang Chen performed together, bringing a unique musical feast to the guests. The long-prepared “China Night” concert was held as scheduled, fulfilling Ciro’s dream.

On May 19, 2025, Dr. Lunlun Zou was invited to attend the naming ceremony of the William Au Concert Hall Naming Ceremony on Monday, 19 May 2025. at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

Among those present at the event were Mr Timothy Fok (霍震霆) President of the Hong Kong Sports Association and Olympic Committee; renowned Hong Kong director Mr. Tsui Siu-Ming (徐小明) ; Professor Anna C Y Chan , President of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts; Dr. Inaki Sandoval, Dean of the Academy; and Ms. Cally Kwong (鄺美雲) representative of the Hong Kong region in the National People’s Congress, among others.
